Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, UNESCO Laureate and World Records Holder, has said that Crown University International, USA in partnership with other development partners will host first ever Sierra Leone Global Climate Change, Data Science Summit, Honorary Doctorate & Fellowship Awards Ceremony at Freetown City Council (FCC) Auditorium, New City Hall, Wallace Johnson Street, Freetown, Sierra Leone which he said is scheduled to take place on July 18th- 19th , 2026.
Prof Aremu stated: “The event as organized will be hosted by Crown University Intl. Chartered Inc. in collaboration with Global Chamber on African Trade, Rights and Economic Development (GCATRED) and Cybercop Global Council Africa Region Subsidiary of Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council (UNACCC) to honor eminent Africans, VIPs with Honorary Doctorate Degree and Fellowship Awards.
Delta Uhuru Media (News Online) learnt this from Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, The Africa Head & Chairman, Board of Trustees of Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council, UNACCC in a telephone conversation with our reporter today being Thursday, March 26, 2026 as he briefed media, commended the initiative on the forthcoming Sierra Leone Global Summit on Climate Change, Data Science to hold at Freetown City Council (FCC) Auditorium, New City Hall, Wallace Johnson Street, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Speaking to our reporter Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, World Records Holder stated: “The theme of the Summit: “Leadership in Climate Change in the Modern World of Data Science”, aims to foster dialogue and collaboration on pressing Climate Change and Data Science issues. The event will feature the awarding of honorary doctorate degrees and Fellowship Awards to distinguished individuals”.
“I, Prof. Sir Bashiru Aremu, The First African UNESCO Laureate and World Records Holder, is leading the initiative as Africa Chairman Board of Trustees of Africa Information Technology Consultancy (AITC). No doubt, during the event, we will emphasize more on the importance of harnessing “Leadership in Climate Change in the modern world of Data Science for sustainable development”.
The First African UNESCO Laureate had stated that VIPs, eminent Africans will be honored with Crown University’s Honorary Doctorate Degree and Fellowship Awards.
Prof Aremu said: “Crown University Intl. Chartered Inc. is a private global research university registered in the US, has partnered with institutions worldwide to offer professional and vocational training programs. The university has received accreditation from reputable bodies like INQAAHE and CHEA”.
