In a heartfelt appreciation on attainment of new academic rank, the First African UNESCO Laureate and World Records Holder, Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, has extended his warmest congratulations to Dr. Asimiyu Olalekan Murana on his well deserved academic promotion to the rank of Associate Professor of Political Science at Summit University, Offa, Kwara State, Nigeria.
Delta Uhuru Media (News Online) learnt this from Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu today being Thursday, February 29, 2026 in a telephone conversation with our reporter as he briefed on the content of his letter of Congratulations as sent to Dr. Asimiyu Olalekan Murana personally signed by him, Aremu Commends Murana’s Promotion to a new academic rank.
Prof Aremu who Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Africa Information Technology Consultancy, has stated that Dr. Murana’s achievement is a clear evidence of his dedication to academic excellence, intellectual depth, and sustained contributions to teaching, research, and scholarship.

“Dr. Asimiyu Olalekan Murana’s research focuses on Legislative Studies, Democratic Governance, Local Government Studies, and Public Administration. Dr. Asimiyu Olalekan Murana has some notable works, which included amongst others are: “A Reflection on the Challenges in Nigerian Agricultural Policies and the Way Forward”.
“Dr. Asimiyu has another research work titled: ‘A Comparative Assessment of Local Government Autonomy and Democratic Governance in Nigeria and United States of America’.
